The importance of 'naming'
Name is important for chinese. Many people always thinks that good name supposed to be nice and pleasant, not knowing that it is equally important to consider also the 'ba zhi' and '5 elements'. If a name is nice but without taking into account the '5 elements', it will be like a house with nice paint and outlook without quality material and facility. A dangerous house to live in!
Therefore, name is like a building, it should be equally balanced inside out.
'tian ge' is a prefixed element, therefore surnames do not matter much. For example, there can be many types of houses and buildings like bungalows, semi-detached, double storey terraces or shop houses, they all have their own pros and cons.
'ren ge' affects bearer of the name in character and health. For example a house must be built in a way that it shall be stable and with quality. If less material was used then it affects the stability of the house.
'wai ge' acts as a supplementary element. It affects working and social luck and harmony of the family. For example the electricity and water supply of a house which gives comfort and pleasure to the owner. Lacking these will lead to trouble and many inconvenience.
'di ge' affects marriage and love life. It acts as a strong base to a house. The stronger the base, the more stable the house could be.
'zhong ge' affects a person's future and the luck of his late life. For example house with nice decoration and design will always be comfortable to live in.
The luck one needs for success would depend on the combination of 'tian ge' and 'ren ge'. Basic luck would be the combination of 'ren ge' and 'di ge'. The combination of 'tian, ren and Di ge' would determine a person's entire life, whether good or unfortunate.
