Fung Shui harmonises the flow of Yin and Yang

MASTER SHENG PU REN, the renowned palmist and geomancer from Hong Kong offers his advice and expertise on geomancy reading.

Basically, there are four formulas to adhere to in reading the geomancy of a house.Contrary to porpular belief, a new tenant who has moved into a house where a millionaire lived does not neccessarily enjoy the prosperity that the latter does.
This is because an individual's geomancy differs from one another.

The new tenant also does not possess the same date and time of birth as that of the millionaire. Hence the geomancy of the house does not suit him. The four formulas to reading geomancy are:

  1. To check the date and time of birth of the owner of the house. A geomancer who does not check these particulars but straight away provides advice, is a fake or is non-qualified. He will spoil the life of the owner of the house.

  2. Use of geomancy table. This is important to see the location and direction of the main door of the house. What the main door faces must be compatible with the owner's birth date particulars and his element, that is whether Wood, Fire, water, Earth or Gold.

For example, if the owner's element is Fire, then he must have the front door facing anything that links with fire. Suppose the door faces the sea(water element), then he will suffer as water and fire clashes.

Generally as an example, those with fire elements must have their main door facing Southeast or Southwest. Those with Water element should face North or Northwest. The main door is the key to the owner's prosperity.

  3.  To take the plan of the house, locate the centre point and draw the eight cardinal points. These eight cardinal points are carefully drawn up to match with the owner's personal particulars and strongly influences his life in the house. The centre point of a house varies with each individual.

  4. After drawing eight cardinal points, draw 24 mounts on the plan to facilitate further reading by the geomancer.
This step is a deeper stage to geomancy reading and a good and qualified geomancer will ensure that the plan of the house is fully illustrated.

This includes illustrating the four directional view of the house, so that, the owner of the house is sufficiently advised as to what alterations and adjustments he has to do with the house.

A geomancer who fails to draw this kind of plan is either ignorant or negligent. As geomancy or Fung shui reading is a very complicated subject, those who would like to seek further advice are welcome to consult Master Sheng Pu Ren.  Tel : 03-2481353

Life, Death linked

Geomancy or fung shui is not just a means of divination but is also considered a logical way of foretelling the future, based on external phenomena.

The ancient Chinese believed that life and death were linked and the death was just an extension of life. Therefore, if the ancestral burial ground is suitably located and tended to well, the present and future generations would enjoy good health and fortune.
Fung Shui is defined as wind and water, the outward and visible signs of celestial yin and yang.

There are five factors that rule the choice of a building site or burial ground. The first is "Loong" or dragon. It represents the location and is significant, in that, it either makes or destroys the fortune of a man.

The second is "Xue" or hole. It means the foundation of the tomb or building. It is said to be one of the most difficult factors to assess.

Next is "Sha" which symbolises the surroundings or neighbouring environment of the sight. The geomancer looks out for three types of "sha"(sand). These are the sharp edged, the round and long type and the sand that forms a wave like pattern.

The fourth is "shui" or water. It depicts the stream flowing through or bypassing the site. The fifth factor is "xiang", the orientation or direction of the site. Both "shui" and "xiang" are essential because the living and the dead need fresh air. Slow-moving water is said to bring good luck.
