When a feng shui master is giving his advice, he must not do it against the logic of science. Feng shui must not be something that is illogical. Feng shui cold do people good, and at the same time do people bad, the main catch is whether one seeks advice from the right feng shui master. It will bring a person bad luck when he/she seeks advice from lousy feng shui master. For example, a good doctor can help a person to lessen his/her pain whereas a below par doctor might only increase the patient's pain.
Feng shui and science
It is proven scientifically that the earth we live on is a huge magnet, and there are magnetic fields almost anywhere. These magnetic fields affect metals, and so do humans as there are also elements of metal exist in human body, for example iron that exists in our blood. Therefore magnetic fields that exist on the earth will indirectly affect human, physically and mentally. Due to this reason, it is important to balance between the magnetic field of a person and the surroundings such as house, and if this were achieved, it would bring good effect to a person, vice versa. From the above fact I can say that feng shui is not something that is mythical and illogical.
Feng shui and floor plan
When determining the feng shui of a house, it is important to have a floor plan of that house. With a floor plan, we can then easily determine the center of the house, and from this center point, further determine accurately other directions that matter to feng shui.
A responsible feng shui master would always require an accurate floor plan to determine the feng shui of a house or office, before he could tell you whether the feng shui of that place is good or bad. However, if a feng shui master omits the use of a floor plan, then either that feng shui master is irresponsible and lazy, or he is an imposter, who knew nothing about feng shui. Therefore a bad feng shui master will always omits to draw a floor plan to save future embarrassment.
Imposter feng shui master
It has always been a fact that an imposter feng shui master will not ask for your "ba zhi", or would not use "Chinese compass" to calculate the direction of the "chi". "He" only uses his eyes to "scan" around, and will subsequently come up with some nonsense theory. This is incredible, because he can even tell you which is the best direction the main door should be situated, or where the bed should be placed, without using all the right tools and procedure!! If feng shui were to be this easy, then anybody could be a feng shui master.
The direction of 'dragon' and 'tiger'
According to feng shui, 'green dragon' and 'white tiger' are symbols, not something that signifies lucky and unfortunate (which were commonly thought so). Actually 'green dragon' is a symbol for east or left, and 'white dragon' is a symbol for west or right. Therefore if good 'chi' comes through from left or east, then 'green dragon' is a lucky direction; however, if bad 'chi' comes through from east or left, then 'green dragon' would not be a lucky direction (which applies to 'white tiger' too).
'Chinese compass' cannot be interrupted
In order to draw out an accurate feng shui floor plan, one must know how to properly use the 'chinese compass' to determine the right directions.
No matter where the compass would be placed to determine directions, it must be placed on horizontally and that it must be stable. At the same time, 'Chinese compass' must not be placed anywhere near metal or magnetic disturbance. After placing the compass properly, then the feng shui master would move the compass so that both hands of the compass would face south and north respectively. When the hands of the compass are constantly moving due to interference of magnetic disturbance, some imposters would make it a big issue saying that evil force exist in the house. Note that a 'Chinese compass' is a tool to determine directions and not for use of detecting evil force.
